Perfectionism "Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect." - Matthew 5:48 (NIV) A Daily Encounter reader writes, "I am a Christian, but here is my dilemma. I see Christians who have such a joy in the Lord, but I find that Christianity is a very difficult walk, knowing that it is impossible for me to achieve perfection. Thus, I constantly fail, which makes for a depressing life (yes, I'm quite the perfectionist). And yet logic tells me that if I were a Christian, I would have the joy of the Lord, and that life wouldn't be such a battle." How sad! Just because we are God's children doesn't in any way take away our human weaknesses and doesn't heal us of our emotional wounds. Perfectionism is an emotional issue and, while it will affect us spiritually, it isn't a spiritual problem any more than a bad cold is, which can also make us feel depressed. The word "perfect" in the Bible can equally be translated as complete, whole or mature. Knowing this can help us avoid the perfectionism trap. True, we need to strive for excellence, but perfectionism is an emotional sickness. It is also a curse, as it keeps the perfectionist forever in a state of bondage. Perfectionism usually goes back to one's developmental years where a child has to "be perfect" in order to feel loved—but this isn't love. It's conditional "love" and control and is based on one's performance rather than on one's being. Therefore, a perfectionist cannot be happy in this state of mind because nothing he ever does is perfect and therefore not good enough—and he can never feel loved for who he is. And he can be nigh to impossible to live with because those around him cannot reach perfectionism either. So what can the perfectionist do to overcome his/her problem? First, he needs to see and admit that he is a perfectionist. Admission is the first step in resolving any problem. Denial keeps one forever stuck. Second, he needs to see that perfectionism is an emotional sickness, and that he needs healing. Third, he needs to ask God to help him see the root cause/s of his perfectionism and to lead him to the help he needs to overcome it. Remember, too, that "God is merciful—when we have unresolved problems, he gives us symptoms." Perfectionism is the symptom—or the fruit—of a deeper root and one needs to resolve that deeper issue to overcome the symptom. Fourth, I would encourage him to see a competent Christian (professional) counselor to help him work through and resolve his problem; otherwise he will struggle with it for the rest of his life. Suggested prayer: "Dear God, please help me to realize that I don't have to be perfect for you to love me, but also that you want me to keep growing in both spiritual and emotional maturity so I can know and experience your peace in my everyday life. Help me to admit every area in my life where I need healing and lead me to the help I need to fully recover. Thank you for hearing and answering my prayer. Gratefully, in Jesus' name, amen." < ))><

Yeah, sempre dapat lagi nating ina acknowledge yung kamalian natin, by that we keep humble in the eyes of God, apart from Him we could do nothing...
Kaya we need God to help us, mold us and in His perfect time make us worthy in His promised place called paradise...

Leave Your Enemies in God's Hands by Max Lucado Some years ago a rottweiler attacked our golden retriever puppy at a kennel. The worthless animal climbed out of its run and into Molly’s and nearly killed her. He left her with dozens of gashes and a dangling ear. I wrote a letter to the dog’s owner, urging him to put the dog to sleep. But when I showed the letter to the kennel owner, she begged me to reconsider. “What that dog did was horrible, but I’m still training him. I’m not finished with him yet.” God would say the same about the rottweiler who attacked you. “What he did was unthinkable, unacceptable, inexcusable, but I’m not finished yet.” Your enemies still figure into God’s plan. Their pulse is proof: God hasn’t given up on them. They may be out of God’s will, but not out of his reach. You honor God when you see them, not as his failures, but as his projects. God occupies the only seat on the supreme court of heaven. He wears the robe and refuses to share the gavel. For this reason Paul wrote, “Don’t insist on getting even; that’s not for you to do. ‘I’ll do the judging,’ says God. ‘I’ll take care of it’ ” (Rom. 12:19 MSG).. Revenge removes God from the equation. Vigilantes displace and replace God. “I’m not sure you can handle this one, Lord. You may punish too little or too slowly. I’ll take this matter into my hands, thank you.” Is this what you want to say? Jesus didn’t. No one had a clearer sense of right and wrong than the perfect Son of God. Yet, “when he suffered, he didn’t make any threats but left everything to the one who judges fairly” (1 Pet. 2:23 GOD’S WORD). Only God assesses accurate judgments. We impose punishments too slight or severe. God dispenses perfect justice. Vengeance is his job. Leave your enemies in God’s hands. You’re not endorsing their misbehavior when you do. You can hate what someone did without letting hatred consume you. Forgiveness is not excusing. Nor is forgiveness pretending. David didn’t gloss over or sidestep Saul’s sin. He addressed it directly. He didn’t avoid the issue, but he did avoid Saul. Do the same. Give grace, but, if need be, keep your distance. You can forgive the abusive husband without living with him. Be quick to give mercy to the immoral pastor, but be slow to give him a pulpit. Society can dispense grace and prison terms at the same time. Offer the child molester a second chance, but keep him off the playgrounds. Forgiveness is not foolishness. Forgiveness is, at its core, choosing to see your offender with different eyes. You don’t excuse him, endorse her, or embrace them. You just route thoughts about them through heaven. You see your enemy as God’s child and revenge as God’s job. By the way, how can we grace-recipients do anything less? Dare we ask God for grace when we refuse to give it? This is a huge issue in Scripture. Jesus was tough on sinners who refused to forgive other sinners. In the final sum, we give grace because we’ve been given grace.

If we are God's project, does it mean that when God created Adam & Eve, they were just playthings put in the Garden.
Did God create us to test the abilities of His creations just like a scientist observing his mice in a laboratory?
Nagtatanong lang poh

How can can imperfect being such as mortal men be perfect? How is it possible that christians who are supposed to be obedient make atrocities against fellow christians and against others?
Churches keep on dividing, ministers keep on manipulating their members yet they keep on praying which makes them seem to be hypocrites , aren't they?

from our dear mr. raf;
How can imperfect being such as mortal men be perfect? How is it possible that christians who are supposed to be obedient make atrocities against fellow christians and against others?
my reply: that is why we need God thru Christ our Lord and Savior... for not one is righteous not even one... only our Lord Jesus Christ...
Romans 3:10 as it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one;
Romans 3:23 "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God" ("ALL" includes you and me.)
from our dear mr. raf;
Churches keep on dividing, ministers keep on manipulating their members yet they keep on praying which makes them seem to be hypocrites , aren't they?
my reply:
God gave men autonomy, freedom called "FREEWILL"
and its up to you if your faith contrary from the Word of God (The Bible) and your belief that this man, those man, that man is what have you called hypocrytes as what have you stated... as men has their FREEWILL as well to choose right or wrong...
Psalms 119:108 Accept, I beseech thee, the freewill offerings of my mouth, O LORD, and teach me thy judgments.
That is why the title of this thread is called "Mali ako.... Baguhin mo Ako!... merely stating that without God, We could be nothing, we could do nothing and we are nothing... We need God to change us, mold us, guide us and protect us from the works of evil, the Word of God as God Breathed and is good for our souls to follow...
"All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be PERFECT, THROUGHLY FURNISHED unto ALL good works" (2 Tim. 3:16-17)
nothing important in this World but our Souls to be save by the Living God...
the person who happen to post this thread have faith to God thru Christ our Lord, now - we respect your belief but contrary to your stand, i know that whoever reads this replies/posts will have some question within the shares that we have exchange, giving all the Glory to our Living God... there are such Christians who failed and made their mistakes in their recent life, but we have not been given the rights to judge them nor direct them... we can only advice & encourage...
only God can judge us, not men... even Jesus was sent in this world to save men, not to judge men...
Luke 6:37 "Judge not, and you shall not be judged. Condemn not, and you shall not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.
John 3:17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
Dear Raf,
you can attack Christians and their faults and wrong doings, but one thing i assure you, you will never be happy attesting your own thing called "i am right, am the one, i am the one to believe on and my thing is the right thing..."
i am happy that you are here sharing with us, and believed that someday you will accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, for i do believed that someday you will read the Bible, meditate the Bible and will realize that WE ARE ALL TEMPORARY IN THIS WORLD...
We are Save by Grace (God’s Mercy)
Ephesians 2:8, 9... "For by grace (God's mercy) are we saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God, "NOT OF WORKS" lest any man should boast." (You cannot earn your salvation by either doing something or NOT doing something)
Whosoever Deny Jesus Christ……..
Mathews 10:33 But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father who is in heaven
Whosoever Believed…
John 3:36 The one who believes in the Son has eternal life, but the one who refuses to believe in the Son will not see life; instead, the wrath of God remains on him.
Romans 10:9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
Romans 10:10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Question;
Do you deny the Existence of God?
Don't you believe the Word of God?
Do you believe that Jesus Christ is the Only Way to Eternal Life?
Can you please answer....

Ministers manipulating their members are not practicing hypocrisy; rather, they are practicing things which had been written in the scriptures - called sins. Again, your sentiments had been argued here with you running away from my rebuttals.
Please recollect to confirm yourself

Hi Mr. Raf,can i just share you the Pillars that God gave us...
Here Jesus is saying, "Build your life on me, and nothing will be able to shake you. Build your life on anything else, and it will eventually collapse." Even if eventually doesn't come till the day you die when you discover that what you were depending on has left you horribly unprepared for eternity.
Even religion - even Christian religion - will not get you to heaven. In Matthew 7, some Christian "lifers" stand before Jesus on Judgment Day, reminding Him of all the Christianity they have, to which He will respond, "I never knew you." The pillar of your religion will collapse on the very day your whole eternity depends on it because you had Christianity, but you didn't have Christ.
Jesus died a horrific death on the cross to pay for all the wrong things you've ever done, so the wall between you and God could come down and you could belong to the only one who you'll never lose.
And [/b]Jesus walked out of His grave to prove He has the power to beat anything that could ever beat you.[/b] So the question is do you belong to the one of whom the Bible says "Nothing in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus" (Romans 8:39). That is the only pillar that will never move.
You belong to Jesus by believing in Jesus, which means abandoning your faith in anything else to get you to God and hanging onto Jesus like He is your only hope, [/b]"because He is..." [/b] If you've never had a time when you've put your total trust in Jesus to forgive your sin, this could be that time. With all my heart, The pillar you've been depending on will ultimately not be there to support you. Jesus, though, will never leave you, never hurt you, and never let you down.

Hi leanne & sa lahat, ok lang di naman nakagulo... he he he... it's nice to see na marami pa ring mga kasangga, kapuso, kapamilya, kapatid at kaibigan natin diyan ang interesado when it comes to what if's / last destination or yung magiging huling hantungan ng bawat individual... Actually tama si Always, nasagot na nga naman na niya yung queries ni mr. rafael, yun nga lang baka hindi lang matanggap talaga ni mr. raf or maybe naguguluhan siya or gusto lang talagang paulit ulitin, anu nga kaya?
anyway, it's His FREEWILL to choose right or wrong naman and wala namang pumipilit sa kanya kung anong pipiliin niya...nakakatuwa lang na sa bawat tanong and objection as well as the labels (stating hypocracy) ay marami pa ring sumasagot, specially always and us... it only means that we are not just depending ourselves from his rebuttal's but is sharing with all possible guests that will visit this topic...minsan nga maganda rin na i please and tao but we rather please God than to please men... wala naman tayong mapapala kung iple please natin ang tao kesa ma compromise ang kaluluwa natin... e di wag na lang! mag share na lang tayo, maganda pa! And Diyos naman thru Christ our Lord hindi tayo ni CONDEMN, DI nang iwan, di nagpabaya, bagkus sinabi pa nga niya na kung taos sa puso ang paghingi natin ng tawad sa mga nagawa natin, kakalimutan niya ito lahat... all we can do is to share with everyone but is cannot dictate their own will... Gandang araw sa lahat...!!![/color] Teka, hindi ba ang freewill ay project? ahehe nagtatanong din lang kc nilikha tayong may freewill. nakagulo ba?

Mali AKo... Baguhin Mo Ako! this topic is intended the Creation is not questioning the Creator... kaya nga po laging sarili natin ang mali at patuloy lang tayo nagpapabago sa Kanya... Now... because we should always be ready in season and out of season in sharing the good news.... e2 po yung personal answer ko... To Leanne - maganda yung tanong mo, masyado nga lang broad pag usapan ang free will... kaya mas maganda lets open a new topic regarding this matter. To Migy - Im so bless how you able to explain and share your beliefs to rafael and others who are here in P7. To Always - "Your enemies still figure into God’s plan. Their pulse is proof: God hasn’t given up on them. They may be out of God’s will, but not out of his reach. You honor God when you see them, not as his failures, but as his projects." d2 nyo po ba nakuha yung word na project??? sana po ang nakita nyo is yung sarili nyo patungkol sa mga taong maari nyong kaaway... na paano nyo po sila pakikitunguhan bilang isang tao na nais ng kaayusan sa kanyang kinagagalawan. As a man, the initial reaction when it comes to enemy is to be always feel angry! In this topic po kasi, tinuturuan tayo or imparting to us, what will be our reaction towards our enemy. " Mali ako...Baguhin Mo ako!but regarding your question "proyekto". wag nyo po sana icompare sa mga doctor na nag aalaga ng daga...maganda po sana na nakita nyo or na assured kayo na "Napakabuti Ng Diyos na nilikha Nya tayo, at kung ang faith nyo po is Puno ng Pag ibig ang Diyos, surely wala Syang gagawin na proyekto na di maganda" Jeremiah 18 At the Potter's House 1 This is the word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD : 2 "Go down to the potter's house, and there I will give you my message." 3 So I went down to the potter's house, and I saw him working at the wheel. 4 But the pot he was shaping from the clay was marred in his hands; so the potter formed it into another pot, shaping it as seemed best to him. 5 Then the word of the LORD came to me: 6 "O house of Israel, can I not do with you as this potter does?" declares the LORD. "Like clay in the hand of the potter, so are you in my hand, O house of Israel. I hope that we can accept that we are only creation made for His Pleasure and Glory.... ano man ang life natin pangit man or maganda, our main goal parin po is to Praise, Give Pleasure and Glory to our Creator! Isaiah 64:8 8 Yet, O LORD, you are our Father. We are the clay, you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand. Isaiah 45:9 9 "Woe to him who quarrels with his Maker, to him who is but a potsherd among the potsherds on the ground. Does the clay say to the potter, 'What are you making?' Does your work say, 'He has no hands'? Next: Kaya maari din kaya na magkamali ang Diyos kung ang pananaw mo sa atin ay isang proyekto lamang? Nagtatanong lang poh. - My personal answer is DEFINITELY NOT! And to Rafael- Im bless din sa mga research mo and questions here in P7, napaka lalim ng iyong mga tanong and napaka keen observer mo sa buhay.... keep it up friend, to researh more and more to make your life better and to enlighten those people who sorrounds you. Now, like i have said, the topic I post here "Mali Ako... Baguhin Mo ako" Do you have any answer to your question that you can impart to me to change my life from better to best??? and most of all to change my life that all those people who surrounds me will be enlighten... pls let me know po....and thnx in advance! may God Bless us!

Detoxing Your Mind
We hear a lot about detoxing our physical bodies today from all the chemicals, bacteria and pesticides in our foods. It does our body good to go through deep cleanses and rid our bodies of toxins. In the same way, there are all kinds of toxins that can build up in our mind. When we go around dwelling on the wrong thoughts, thinking about what we can’t do, how somebody hurt us, what someone said we couldn’t do, and how we’ll never get ahead; those thoughts are toxic thoughts. And toxic thoughts left alone become like toxic waste. It will eventually contaminate our whole life. It affects our self-image. It affects our attitude and our level of confidence. It becomes a part of who we are.
That’s why it says in Proverbs 4:23, “Above all else guard your heart for it affects everything you do.” The writer is saying to make guarding your mind a priority. Put this at the top of your “To Do” list because if your mind gets polluted, your whole life is going to be polluted. Every morning when we get up, we should go through this cleansing and detoxing. Forgive the people that have hurt us. Let go of every disappointment. Detox low self-esteem. Detox the negative words. Detox little dreams. If you will guard your mind and not let these toxic thoughts take root, but keep it full of faith-filled thoughts, you’re going to rise higher and higher into new levels with God!
I love you all! mwah! God Bless us!

My Humble Belief and Has to be Practice well...
In sharing the Word of God...
Why believers or followers of Christ are having difficulty is because they are trying to explain what the Word of God is...
It is not for us to explain His Word... our duty is to PROCLAIM His Word and Promises...

yours: migy, I thought that christians must know how to explain the word of God? How can you defend your faith if it is left unexplained?
my reply
Hi Raf,
If am not mistaken nasagot ko na ito sa iyo before, no need to argue with and am into proclaiming or standing in what the Word of God says on my Faith/Belief. Now it's up to you if your stand ends to.
I do believed that "Standing is diffrendt from Explaining..."
Am standing for what God says in His Word, Always and Lindsi, Supremo and more... as Christians, they are merely sharing and standing faith contrary to your claims. Explaining. We don't have the rights to explain or take your FREEWILL. It is merely your possession and no one can take it from you.
Now: my question is - How can you encourage us all Christians with your belief and whatever explanations you may have...
believe me, men cannot save men, it is God who can save men!
".... who can forgive sins but God only?" Mark 2:7
Acts 2:38 “Peter answered, ‘Repent and be baptized everyone of you in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.’”
Who is the Only Way?
John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
John 3:15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
Am encouraging you to read the Word of God (The Holy Bible) that can touch you if you will only allow Him personally to touch you within...
Why not give yourself a chance, pls. don't get me wrong, i encourage you - Pray to God directly, ask Him to talk to you, ask Him your desires, to touch you and not your Friends like us (Christians) whom you are telling is explaining to you...
the thing is a case to case basis, our Brethren Always is more into Intellectual Knowledge Practice and He can stand on what He is sharing and foretells all He had posted, the guy can exchange together with your course within your basis, God gave us all diffrent Gifts and we have to thank God for those Gifts. Intellectual, Possessions, Humbleness and name anything in this world that will fade away but only His Word cannot.
am not forcing you to believe us but is telling/standing/our belief that if you can only meditate and read what God is offering us in His Word then you can say to us, Ahhhhh Now I Know!!!
we are just doing our part sharing and encouraging and believe me, we cannot take your Freewill to believe us but it is still you to know why we are doing this Freely...
Good Day!

It's All In Your Mind Dr. Creflo A. Dollar Your mind holds tremendous creative ability. That's why God gave you an imagination--so that you could create mental pictures, add faith to them and see those pictures manifest in your life. Sponsor AdOnce you have an image in your mind of something you want to do or become, nothing can stop that image from coming to pass. Whatever you meditate on will become the blueprint for your reality. Too often, though, Christians suffer from "stinking thinking." They give the devil control of their minds by meditating on thoughts that do not line up with the Word of God. Then they reap the results of the curse because their carnal mindset produces the fruit of the flesh described in Galatians 5:19-21. To keep the devil from gaining a foothold in your life, you must develop a sound mind that is completely controlled and directed by the Holy Spirit. In other words, you must renew your mind with the Word of God. Romans 12:2 says, "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God." When you become born again, your spirit instantly changes; you are recreated in Christ Jesus (2 Corinthians 5:17). Yet your mind is not recreated. You must conform your thinking continually and on purpose; it is not an overnight, one-time event. Renewing your mind to God's Word every day is vital. By reading the Scriptures and meditating on them thoroughly, your thinking will be transformed to line up with the mind of Christ. And when you have the mind of Christ, you can do anything! When you set your mind on the Word of God, you'll also experience soul prosperity and peace (3 John 2). The Bible says that the issues of life flow out of the heart (Proverbs 4:23). The word heart in this scripture actually refers to your soul--your mind, your will and your emotions. If you can control your mind, you can control your destiny. But it will take a quality decision on your part to dedicate your life to changing the way you think. First Thessalonians 5:23 says, "And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ." It is God's will that your mind, will and emotions be whole, with nothing missing or broken. As a Believer, you can receive a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). It is then up to you to enforce and maintain soundness of mind by keeping your thoughts and imaginations in line with God and His Word (Isaiah 26:3). When your mind is focused and directed by the Word, you will position yourself for success. You'll have wisdom, discernment, insight and the ability to accomplish anything. A renewed, Word-controlled mind guarantees abundance and prosperity in every area of your life. Don't let another day go by without a daily dose of meditation. Set your mind on the Word of God and let it become the focal point of your life and purpose! God Bless us!

Hi Jiro,
kaya nga masasabi natin if we are clinging to our own knowledge and wisdom, walang mangyayari dahil magpapagalingan lang tayo at magpapa talbugan and will end up into an everlasting argument, kaya i prefer to share and to declare His Word, rather than pleasing men and arguing with them. I've learned my lessons naman - kasi before akala ko by arguing and by insisting my own prerogative will make a difference yun pala hindi.
kaya it's better to follow what the Word of God says and Practice what He wanted us to do...
A Blessed Day!
Continue lang....

Detoxing Your MindWe hear a lot about detoxing our physical bodies today from all the chemicals, bacteria and pesticides in our foods. Pwedeng summary ng detoxifying the mind?
