linsi,
dun muna ako sa God is all knowing ok? maya maya na yung Predestination at Election...
God is all knowing because He can see the past, present & future...
He can go to the future and look back (to the present)..
thus, He knows what we will choose...
Knowing what we will choose (based on what He have seen in the future) does not affect our freedom of choice...
for example:
I have to make a decision of whether to eat kutsinta or puto....
God can see the future...thus He knows that I will choose kutsinta for breakfast..
Did it affect my freedom of choice? NO!
I still made the choice to eat kutsinta...alam nya lang na yun ang choice ko kasi nakita na nya ang future...

thanks linsi , nabasa ko lang yan sa www.carm.orgpinasimple ko lang ang explanations about Predestination and Election...basahin ko muna maigi and compare with my notes.. kasi ang sabi sa carm.org pareho itong biblical and are not opposing views... believing in predestination and/or election does not affect our Salvation... ang delikado lang daw ay yung belief in Universalism.. tomorrow na lang yung predestination and election hehehe...

Good answer ruth. This is the same thought rafael (on the OSAS thread) is trying to express pero di nya ma expound maigi. OSAS, Predestination, Election are all related to some extent at hindi ito pwede i-seperate. In the eyes of men, these teachings are unfair, but in the eyes of God hindi ito unfair, and will never effect our freedom of choice. It so happen that God is not bounded by time, kaya nya alam ang ating mga magiging choices.

I need an extensive reply to fill up and learn. why will it be unfair in the eyes of men but fair in the eyes of God when God speaks to men to know him?

If God knows our future choices, he has also the power to save those who made the wrong choices knowing that men are inclined to sin. Is this not possible?

I disagree, in theology, god is all powerful, He can do what he wishes.

Yes, He can do what He wishes because He is all-powerful. BUT He can not go against what He commanded

We can therefore say that men are not created equal. Some are weak in their decisions to reasonably fall Some are born losers and still others born from slaves and destined to be what they are.

That is my justification as to why people are created unique as compared from each one FreeWill is their common denominator. But then, it depends on how you (even your own self) use it.

Some people are endowed with many options ( like the rich) while some are down with nothing to choose like the "untouchables" in India. Doesn't fate play a role?
