ok i learned that the link is inaccessible to those who are not registered i am posting a small porion of what was posted : roman catholic doctrine-
Mary is a “virgin” because, speaking in very plain terms, the closure of her virginity (i.e. her hymen) has never been ruptured . The womb of Mary is a sealed fountain, an enclosed garden, a cloister.
We may be a bit surprised to hear this – that “virginity”, in Mary’s case, means more than simple moral “virginity” but includes also this sense of physical integrity. Let us consider what this teaching would mean and why we must hold it. Virgin “during birth” The Church teaches that Mary was a virgin “in birth” (the Latin phrase is virginitas in partu). Consider the words of the Catechism of the Catholic Church: “The deepening of faith in the virginal motherhood led the Church to confess Mary’s real and perpetual virginity even in the act of giving birth to the Son of God made man.” (CCC 499) This paragraph of the Vatican II Catechism sites seven

i find no reason to discuss wether there was a rupture, pain, physical integrity, virginity or whatever to mary upon her giving birth to Christ, the spotlight was on Christ, the birth of the messiah who would then save people from damnation, it was upon God's hands that things happen- early prophets from the old testaments and disciples from the new testaments had their own shares of misfortunes, trials and difficulties and even death, let the roman catholics believe that mary is still a virgin, let the protestants analyse that mary was human who's undergone normal physical changes on giving birth- the former keep on with their belief, the latter keep on with scientific analysis, science and religion goes hand in hand anyway- in my POV- mary was the chosen woman to give birth, she was human, not a semi-goddess or demi-goddess,she was obedient and was a very good example of one who believes in our christian God- one who is willing to sacrifice and undergo everything for God- in any which way her virginity/non virginity afterwards does not diminish her role as a one woman being blessed for giving birth to Chirst incarnate.
